(MENAFN) A spokesman at Lufthansa, Wolfgang Weber, said that the German national carrier is planning to work towards Emirates Airline not getting slots in the new airport in Berlin, reported The National.
Weber said that this prevention is due to the fact that Emirates Airlines already has access to four German airports which gives the airline an unfair advantage in its services between the two countries.
Weber said that Lufthansa plans to convey the message to the German government; however the airline does not have a direct impact on the government’s decision.
Weber added that in other countries governments imposed restrictions on the number of slots allocated for each airline. Such restrictions are currently applied in countries like France and England.
