(MENAFN) Middle East airlines continued to outperform the global market in June, with the region seeing an 18 percent increase in passenger growth, according to the latest data from the International Air Transport Association (IATA).
The figure is a little higher than May traffic, which was reported at 17.5 percent growth, but still a little below the highs of the first three months of the year.
International passenger demand rose by 11.9 percent, and load factors were recorded at an impressive 79.8 percent.
However, IATA posted a note of caution that the recent good figures were likely to tempered in the near future.
