(MENAFN) Google’s regional manager for Middle East and North Africa, Ari Kesisoglou, said that the number of internet users in the Middle East increased last year to 86 million people at an estimated percent of 39, reported Arabian Business.
Kesisoglou added that every month the number of internet users increases by two million and internet access in MENA is estimated at 29 percent.
He said that the number differs from one country to another, for in rich countries like UAE and Qatar the access is higher than poor or developing countries like Yemen and Egypt.
It is worth noting that the more internet users, the more internet infrastructure, and the more investments are attracted.
