(MENAFN) Mobily’s Chief Marketing Officer David Murphy said that the Saudi operator Mobily and Ericsson are trying out a proof of concept for a major health care institution for a effective remote monitoring of patients, reported Arab News.
Murphy said that the new health solution, Mobily mHealth, enables patient health care monitoring and gathering of vitals at predefined intervals and durations remotely. He said that this solution utilizes the latest mobile information and communication technologies. He said the goal is to create a solution that is mobile, simple and reliable.
Murphy added that cooperation with Ericsson is necessary for making the solution reliable and of high quality. The solution consists of a patient unit made up of medical measurement sensors, and enabled by a 2G/3G communication device, which feeds information into a web-enabled backend system.
