The Ministry of Finance in Oman announced the approval of expanding Muscat International Airport, through a budget allocation of USD1.829 billion for the construction of a new passenger terminal, reported times of Oman.
The ministry stated that a consortium of US-based Bechtel, BEC and Turkey’s INCA would be in charge of the project.
The ministry said that the new terminal would have the capacity of receiving twelve million passengers per year.
It is worth noting that the construction of the new terminal would over three years.
