(MENAFN) Bahrain’s Energy Minister Dr Abdulhussain Mirza said that oil production in the country as well as development projects were not impacted by the political unrest that is currently taking place, reported Gulf Daily News.
Mirza said that Bahrain Field operations and Tatweer Petroleum development activities were on track, and were not halted nor delayed by the unrest.
Moreover, the minister said that the mater development plan that Tatweer is working on is not only on track, but is ahead of schedule as well.
It is worth noting that the Bahrain had been witnessing accelerating protests since February, following the revolutions that took place in Tunisia and Egypt.
