(MENAFN) A’Saffa Foods’ head of marketing and sales, Sidhartha Lenka, said that sales increased from USD24.2 million in the first six months of 2010 to USD10.8 million in the same period of 2011, an increase of 11 percent, reported Times of Oman.
Lenka attributed the company’s excellent increase in sales growth over the first half of the current year to a highly effective and aggressive marketing and sales strategy that is helping to grow the market share and consolidate its position as a leader in domestic food production.
Lenka also said that A’Saffa Foods branched out in the past year into new product areas including the launch of the Khayrat and Taybat brands entering the area of frozen beef products, sea food range and vegetables for the first time.
It is worth mentioning that the company now has 27 percent of the domestic poultry market in Oman with an ambition to increase market share in the near future to 35 percent as demands grows and production at the company’s flagship farm facility in Thumrait grows.
