(MENAFN) Oman and the US signed Tuesday a memorandum of understanding (MoU) regarding outlining the general framework of cooperation between the Omani Commerce and Industry Ministry and the US Small Businesses’ Administration (SBA), ONA reported.
The MoU was signed on the Omani side by Maqbool bin Ali Sultan, Commerce and Industry Minister whilst it was signed on the US side by Penny Pickett, Representative of the US Federation of Small Businesses and Senior Advisor to the Assistant Director of SBA Entrepreneurial Development.
Maqbool told ONA that the MoU deals with fields of cooperation in developing small and medium enterprises, benefiting from the US expertise in the field in terms of the method of financing such enterprises, training Omanis and ways of self-employment.
