Omani railway project attracts 32 firms

(MENAFN) An official at the Omani government said that more than 32 international companies have for a railway project in the Sultanate, Kuna reported.

According to the official, the companies are from Britain, Russia, France, Germany, Malaysia, US, and China. The project, completion of which is estimated to need 6 years, comes within the railway project of the GCC.

The Omani Ministry of Transport and Communications revealed at the beginning of this year that it had completed the economic feasibility study for the Omani part of the Gulf Cooperation Council railway.
