(MENAFN) The Central Bank of Oman (CBO) said that last year, Oman’s crude oil output growth rate slightly went down to 6.4 percent at 315.6 million barrels from 7.1 percent in 2009, reported Times of Oman.
The bank added that in 2010, natural gas output was 7.2 percent up reaching 1176.8 billion cubic feet (BCF) compared with 1097.7 bcf in the previous year.
It also said that the price of Omani crude oil in 2010 reached USD76.6 per barrel, 35.1 percent higher than the 2009 price of USD56.7 per barrel.
It is worth noting that last year; crude oil exports grew by 12.1 percent to 268.7 million barrels compared with 10.6 percent increase in 2009 due to rising global demand.
