(MENAFN) Business Monitor International (BMI) said that by this year’s third quarter, Oman’s consumer technology market would be expected to hit USD521 million, reported Times of Oman.
BMI added that across the Gulf Corporation Council (GCC), consumer technology market value would be forecasted to grow 4 percent reaching USD9.8 billion by the end of the year.
It also said that by the end of 2011, UAE’s electronics device market would be expected to reach USD3.4 billion, whereas it would be expected to expand to USD4.3 billion by 2015.
It is worth noting that according to BMI, by the end of 2011, Saudi’s consumer technology market is expected to hit USD4 billion, whereas Kuwait’s market is projected to reach USD799 million; Oman to reach USD521 million; Qatar to hit USD481 million and Bahrain’s consumer technology market is expected to hit USD452 million.
