(MENAFN) Nawras’ Chief Executive, Ross Cormack, said that in the third quarter, the Omani telecoms operator’s net profit grew 8 percent to USD35 million compared with USD32.3 million in 2010’s same period, reported Reuters.
Cormack added that during the period, revenues surged to USD127 million, compared with USD123.5 million in last year’s same quarter, on the other hand, during the January-September period, net profit dropped to USD92 million from USD98 million a year ago.
He also said that the company’s fixed service network led to the increase in home and business broadband customers to more than a double compared with the previous quarter.
It is worth noting that at the end of last month, Nawras’ fixed and mobile subscribers’ numbers fell 3.6 percent from 2010 to 1.95 million.
