(MENAFN) UAE’s Al Naboudah Commercial Group’s managing director, Samar Roy, said that Peugeot launched its newest model, the 508, in Dubai, reported Gulf News.
Roy added that the new car was characterized by higher efficiency engines and higher horse-power; moreover, the new model would be forecasted to compete with Toyota’s Camry, Nissan’s Altima and Volkswagen’s Passat.
On the other hand, Roy said that car sales in the UAE were hampered by new car financing regulations that required clients to pay 20 percent upfront.
It is worth noting that Al Naboudah Commercial Group, the distributor of Peugeot cars in Dubai, hopes that the new model will increase Peugeot’s auto market share in the UAE to 5 percent.
