Porsche UAE sales up 41%

(MENAFN) Porsche acting managing director in the region, George Wills, said that due to the carmaker’s Cayenne model that was hugely accepted in the UAE, in 2011’s first half, Porsche sales grew 41 percent, reported The National.

Wills added that Cayenne 4×4 contributed with 70 percent of the auto maker’s sales in the region, moreover, the company’s improved dealer network helped the brand gain popularity.

He also said that in the period, the company’s sales in the UAE reached 1,356 cars compared with 958 units in the same period a year ago.

It is worth noting that the German automaker sold a total of 60,659 new vehicles globally in the first half of 2011, up 36.8 percent on the same period in 2010.
