(MENAFN) Qatar Airways unveiled plans to launch15 new routes in 2012 in order to expand its share in the long-haul market, Arabian Business reported.
Akbar Al Baker, Qatar Airways CEO said the carrier will launch three new routs to Iran in a few by the end of this year.
The airline already services routes between Doha and the Iranian cities of Tehran, Shiraz and Mashhad, he added.
Baker also unveiled plans to launch new routs to Perth, Zagreb, Belgrade, Kiev, Helsinki, St Petersburg and many other destinations within the next year.
Qatar Airways recently made a USD6.5 billion order including five Airbus A380 superjumbos and 50 A320, in its plan to serve more than 120 routes by 2013.
