(MENAFN) Qatar’s Consumer price Index (CPI) for June 2010 increased about 0.1 percent from May 2010, while declined 2.8 percent from June 2009, according to a statement issued by Qatar Statistics Authority.
This decline could be attributed to the decline in rents in June 2010 compared to June 2009 in about 14.4 percent, the satatement said, adding that the decline between June and May 2010 was about 0.4 percent.
Furniture and textiles group witnessed in June an increase about 5.8 percent when compared with June 2009. CPI of this group was the highest during that period.
