Ras Al Khaimah registers 75% rise in trade licenses

(MENAFN) Ras Al Khaimah Investment Authority (Rakia) said that it had issued 263 trade licenses during the first quarter, marking a 75 percent growth over the same period last year.

The authority, which operates free and non free zones, industrial parks, issues offshore licenses and is also into real estate development, said that it had marked an all-time record with the number of licenses issued in March.

Rakia reported that the total number of registered firms in the emirate grew to 2,834 during the quarter, with 101 trading licenses and 100 services/consulting licenses issued during the first quarter, as these two sectors accounted for the most number of licenses issued so far this year.

A total of 40 new Industrial lands (Free zone / non free zone ) had been leased out for different industries, 45 warehouses with a combined area of 14,727 sq m were leased, the authority said.
