(MENAFN) Raysut Cement Company (RCC) and Oman Cement Company (OCC), with the support of a government-owned company, are planning to set up a joint venture (JV) cement company in Oman?s northern city of Al Duqm, ONA reported.
Senior officials of both cement companies are in discussion with an international consultant, who will conduct a feasibility study for the proposed venture.
The new venture is expected to enhance the availability of cement in the country from the present annual production of 4.1 million tons.
This expansion project is scheduled to be operational by the third quarter of this year.
