(MENAFN) Riyadh Governor Prince Salman announced plans for the development of a new floodwater drainage system in the Saudi capital at the length of 1,447 kilometers, reported Arab News.
Prince Salman made the announcement during a meeting with the High Commission for Development of Riyadh and Executive Committee for Projects and Planning for the City of Riyadh.
During the same meeting, other projects were unveiled such as a light rail, a public bus system, two additional belt roads at the lengths of 120 km and 150 km, respectively and an environmental development of Wadi Hanifa.
Prince Salman said that around a hundred development schemes would be planned an implemented in Riyadh by 2031.
