(MENAFN) Rolls-Royce said that it was awarded a USD500 million engine order from Saudi Arabian Airlines, reported Arabian Business.
The British firm added that the deal would include providing the Saudi carrier, which fleet contains 137 aircrafts, with engines and support for 4 Airbus A330 mid-sized planes which were already on order, in addition to 4 options.
It also said that the plane was sold with engines from Rolls-Royce, General electric and Pratt & Whitney.
It is worth noting that UK’s Rolls-Royce claims an A330 market share of 75 percent for the company’s Trent 700 engine.
