02 Oct 2011

(MENAFN) The International Contractors Association of Korea (ICAK) said that in the year’s first three quarters, the value of the orders won by South Korean builders from Saudi reached USD10.7 billion, reported Gulf News.

ICAK added that once Samsung C&T Corp’s USD2.1 billion thermal power plant agreement would be added, the total value of the orders inked between the builders from South Korea and Saudi would increase.

It also said that the value of orders signed in the period was more than 2010’s USD5.6 billion the builders signed with the Kingdom, furthermore, around 43 South Korean builders were working on 40 projects in the country, of which 29 were inked in 2011.

It is worth noting that the value of South Korean orders signed with Iraq was USD3.3 billion, whereas the value of those signed with Singapore was USD2.7 billion.
