Saudi Aramco starts Karan gas production

(MENAFN) Saudi Aramco stated that it launched the production of gas from its first non-associated field located in Karan early in July, reported Reuters.

Aramco stated that work included five wells that have a capacity of over 120 million cubic feet/day of gas.

The company added that production was started early this mo0nth in order to cover for the high demand on electricity that peaks in the summer.

It is worth noting that Aramco plans on increasing gas production to meet rising domestic demand for power and petrochemicals.
