Saudi Finance Ministry approves USD23.7b contracts

(MENAFN) Saudi Finance Ministry said that in this year’s first half it approved 1,602 contracts that worth USD23.7billion, reported Arab News.

The ministry added that the number of contracts in the period rose 25 percent from 2010’s first half when the ministry approved 1,420 contracts worth USD19 billion.

It also said that amongst the approved contracts, 79 were for food, medicine and fuel worth USD346 million, whereas 392 contracts were of operation, maintenance and cleaning project that worth USD3 billion.

It is worth noting that in the same period, 1,131 contracts were approved for construction works that worth USD20 billion.
