28 Mar 2011

(MENAFN) Business Monitor International (BMI) said that the Saudi consumer electronics devices market is expected to hit USD4 billion in 2011, reported Saudi Gazette.

BMI added that the market is expected to keep on growing until it hits USD5 billion by 2015. The BMI cited the growth to the increasing popularity and thus demand on flat-screen TV sets, smartphones and notebook computers.

BMI also forecasted per capita consumer electronics spend of USD in 2011, increasing to USD175 by 2015.

BMI forecast Saudi domestic market computer hardware sales alone to hit USD1.9 billion in 2011, compared to USD1.8 billion a year earlier.
