22 Aug 2011

(MENAFN) Scottish Development International (SDI), which is considered one of the most important leading companies in the investment sector in Scotland, is planning to cooperate with Middle East partners in a bid to boost Scotland’s hotel sector, reported Arabian Business.

SDI’s head of tourism, Kenneth Clark, stated that the company aspires that the profits of such expansions in the hotel sector would have a dynamic role in refreshing the economy of Europe. He also added that London has the priority for the future investment projects since it has one of the strongest occupancy rates in Europe.

On the same matter, the average of the Scottish hotel room yield increased by 1.3 percent, 3.1 in England and 12.2 percent in Wales, said PFK Hotel Consultancy Services.

It is worth mentioning that many giant Middle East hotels operators such as Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala, Jumeirah Group Development, Emaar’s hospitality arm and Viceroy Hotels are interested in the deal.
