(MENAFN) Algeria’s state-run oil giant Sonatrach announced that it made three hydrocarbon finds in the southern basins of Berkine and Oued Mya, Reuters reported.
These finds are the first made by Sonatrach during 2010. They are the fruit of the company’s own explorations including the drilling of three wells in the southern areas, according to a statement issued by the compan.
The three wells are Garet El Khatem, located at Zemoul El-Kbar II, El Kheit Tessekha – at Ledjmat Menzel location – in Berkin basin, and Guellala west – at Southern El M’Zaid location – in Oued Mya basin, the statement said.
In 2009 Sonatrach announced 16 hydrocarbon finds including nine solely made by it.
