(MENAFN) UAE-based Sorouh’s chaiman, Saeed Eid Al Ghafli, said that the company won a USD786 million two contract for the Urban Planning Council (UPC) to build homes for Emeritis, reported Arabian Business.
Al Ghafli said that the contracts include the development of 1,470 villas to be completed by 2014.
The UPC said the Sorouh deal was one of four aimed at delivering an additional 7,500 new homes for Emirati families across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Gharbia.
It is noting that the projects bring the total number of new villas being built in the emirate to over 13,000.
