(MENAFN) Director of global sales for Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Rene Camilleri, said that the group would launch the St Regis hotel in Abu Dhabi; in response to the region�s importance in international tourism, reported Gulf news.
Cemilleri added that five branches from Starwood Hotels and Resorts are expected to open by the end of this year in various Arab cities, including Abu Dhabi, Doha, Dubai and Amman.
He added that currently the group operates 47 branches in the Middle East, and the majority of them are located in the UAE.
President and CEO of Starwood Hotels and Resorts, Frits van Paasschen, said that the number of tourists coming and going from the region is expected to reach 136 million in the coming ten years.
