(MENAFN) Tamkeen Enterprise Development Support Agency’s senior manager of private sector support, Mohammed Bucheery, said that the applications to the Enterprise Development Support Program were rapidly filled up by more than 200 business owners since the updates to the scheme went into effect, reported Gulf Daily News.
Bucheery added that application to the program increased by 85 percent in June compared with May, and the orientation sessions were fully booked until the end of August. He said that the sessions offer applicants a detailed overview of all the programs available to them through Tamkeen’s Private Sector Support.
Bucheery also said that the updates to Tamkeen’s Enterprise Development Support Program cover basic areas. It includes the level of financial support, simplifying the application process and easing eligibility criteria.
Bucheery then said that Tamkeen is still receiving a very large number of requests from business owners who are keen to take advantage of the valuable support that the program provides. Therefore, the Agency is taking into consideration conducting more sessions over the next few months.
