(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi-based Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) said that it has been appointed operator of Hili Fun City family amusement park in Al Ain, which will reopen under its new management on the first day of Eid-Al-Fitr, Gulf News reported.
Hili Fun City has been undergoing extensive renovation since August 2009 when TDIC was appointed to commence a two-phase redevelopment of the park into a major family attraction in the region.
TDIC’s movement from developer to operator of the park coincides with the completion of phase one, which saw the redevelopment of the western side of the park with the addition of new rides and landscaping.
Since TDIC began the redevelopment of the park and partially reopened it in November 2009, more than 189,000 people have visited the park, which is a 21 percent increase on the number of visitors from the previous year.
