(MENAFN) Ahmed Nsate Bigali, the Turkish Ambassador to Algeria, announced that trade volume between Turkey and Algeria in the year of 2009 was evaluated at around five billion dollars, reported Saudi Press Agency.
The ambassador added that Turkish direct investments from Turkey in Algeria amounted to $350 million. He added that this comes as a result of Algeria providing trade facilitations to the foreign investors. He also added that this would draw additional future Turkish investments in the future.
The Ambassador said that work on constructing a joint iron and steel factory worth $450 million would be finished in the coming months.
