Turkish firm to set up $7m plant in Jordan

(MENAFN) Jordan Industrial Estates Corporation (JIEC) announced that it has signed an agreement with a Turkish food manufacturing company to set up a $7 million food plant at Muwaqqar Industrial Estate (MIE).

The plant will produce several food items, mainly tea. It will also provide around 50 job opportunities, the company said in a statement.

It is noteworthy that the agreement brings the occupancy rate at the MIE to 24 percent of the overall area of the MIE first phase.
