(MENAFN) The UAE Armed Forces reported negotiations of defense deals worth USD20 billion in the International Defense Exhibition and Conference (Idex), taking place in Abu Dhabi, reported The National.

Negotiations on defense deal include French fighter jets, Italian training jets, as well as US transport aircraft, attack helicopters, early-warning aircraft and missile shields.

The Armed Force could disclose these deals during the exhibition, which had been chosen previously to announce such major deals.

It is worth noting that 169 UAE exhibitors would participate in the event, taking an area of 12,200 square meters. The main sponsor for the exhibition is Tawazun, the company linked to the country’s offsets system.
