(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi’s Dolphin Energy announced that the companys 244 kilometer Taweelah-Fujairah gas pipeline, which will provide gas to two power stations in the north of the UAE, has been completed, Reuters reported.
Dolphin, which transports gas from Qatar’s North Field to the UAE and Oman, is 51 percent owned by Abu Dhabi’s Mubadala Development Co., and by France’s Total and the Occidental Petroleum Corp., with 24.5 percent each.
According to Dolphin, the pipeline currently has a capacity of 1.6 billion cubic feet per day, enough to meet the requirements of the company’s largest client, the Abu Dhabi Water & Electricity Company (ADWEC), which has built two power stations in the northern emirate of Fujairah.
