(MENAFN) The UAE’s Federal Cabinet announced its approval of a draft plan for the three-year, zero-based budget for 2011-2013, whereas it put the three year spending at $33.2 billion, while the spending for year 2011 is estimated at $11.2 billion, WAM reported.
The 2011 budget focuses on social development with 46 percent of the total allocations covering public and higher education sectors, university development, health, salaries, pensions and social benefits, as well as the grants through the Shaikh Zayed Housing Program and the Marriage Fund.
The decision realizes the vision of the UAE’s leadership for achieving the country’s sustainable development, prosperity, security and for ensuring a dignified life for citizens within a comprehensive and integrated plan.
