(MENAFN) UAE’s Aldar Properties said that the company awarded Six Construct, a unit of Egypt’s Orascom Construction Industries (OCI), a contract to establish a mall on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi, reported Emirates 24/7.
The company added that over 40 percent of the Yas mall, which was scheduled for completion in 2013’s final quarter, was let out to retailers.
It also said that the mall would feature 235,000 square meters of retail trading area, however, the company didn’t reveal any details about the value of the contract.
It is worth noting that Six Construct is fully owned by BESIX Group, which is a 50-50 joint venture between OCI and Belgian construction group Besix.
