(MENAFN) Danube Building Materials’ founder and chairman, Rizwan Sajan, said that in 2011’s first six months, the company’s revenue in its Bahrain operations surged 31 percent from last year’s same period, reported Gulf Daily News.
Sajan added that the firm planned to expand its business in the country through providing building materials to several projects that were set to launch with a cost that exceeded USD1.6 billion.
He also said that due to the strong government support in addition to the move towards economic recovery, from April to June, the firm managed to bounce back after its business fell 50 percent during the political unrest that hit the Kingdom early this year.
It is worth noting that that Bahrain’s construction sector will be projected to improve soon due to the emergence and the increase in the number of new projects across the Gulf country.
