UAE’s DMCC witnesses 38% increase in registered firms

(MENAFN) Dubai Multi Commodities Centre Authority’s (DMCC) Executive Chairman, Ahmed bin Sulayem, said that during the January-October period, the number of registered companies in the authority grew by 38 percent to reach 3,600, compared with 2010’s 725 firms, reported Emirates 24/7.

Bin Sulayem added that DMCC, which is the licensing authority for the Jumeirah Lakes Towers (JLT) Free Zone, managed to attract firms from several sectors, includinmg the business, industries and geographies sectors, of which 90 percent were first time applicants to Dubai.

He also said that DMCC expanded its Commercial Property Sales and Leasing division to service the whole JLT Free Zone, through which it was able to provide continuous solutions from licensing a business to finding property.

It is worth noting that DMCC plans to focus on boosting company registrations, in addition to introducing new and improved services and innovative products.
