(MENAFN) Du’s CEO, Othman Sultan, said that this year, the company’s revenue would surge by around 25 percent to USD2.4 billion from USD1.9 billion recorded last year, reported Emirates 24/7.
Sultan added that the increase would result from the rise in data services, the surge in mobile growth and the addition of the fixed line telephone facility.
He also said that since the beginning of the year, data services represented 10 percent of Du’s total income, and it was still expected to increase as a result of a stable expansion in mobile phone services.
It is worth noting that Du’s share of the UAE mobile phone market surpassed 44 percent.
