UAE’s federal government grants Fujairah $1.1b

(MENAFN) Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, announced that the country’s federal government will grant the emirate of Fujairah $1.1 billion, to boost the emirate’s infrastructure, WAM reported.

The thirty five development projects will be carried out in the emirate between 2011 and 2013, explained Shaikh Mohammad.

Shaikh Mohammad has ordered the setting up of a joint team, comprising Cabinet and local government officials to follow up on the projects, and emphasized the need for coordination between them and the National Human Resource Development and Employment Authority (Tanmia) to help fresh Emirati graduates find jobs.

According to the Shaikh, the Dubai-Fujairah road shall be named after President Shaikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
