UAE’s Sep air traffic movements rise 9.7%

(MENAFN) The UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) said that last month, air traffic movements in the country went up 9.7 percent compared with 2010’s same period to 57,773, reported Emirates 24/7.

The GCAA added that Dubai topped the list with the highest air traffic movements in the month, at 25,874, whereas over flights came next at 12,626 air traffic movements, followed by Abu Dhabi with 8,354 movements.

It also said that in terms of safety, the authority renewed 1 Air Operator Certificates (AOC), and completed 32 licensing transactions for aircraft maintenance firms.

It is worth noting that in the month, the GCAA issued 2 new crew licenses, and renewed 476 licenses, on the other hand, it conducted 18 crew examinations.
