(MENAFN) US-Saudi Arabian Business Council president and managing director, Edward Burton, stated that a delegation from Minnesota would reach Saudi Arabia to visit Central and Eastern provinces to study possible business opportunities, reported Arab News.
Burton also said that the delegation would be made up of representatives from 10 US companies and US first Muslim congressman Keith Ellison. He pointed out that the companies represent a variety of industrial sectors.
The managing director added that in 2010, Ellison headed a similar delegation of CEOs and managing directors of US companies to Saudi Arabia from the sectors of oil and gas, petrochemicals, information technology, insurance, banking, communications, security, transport, health and other sectors.
It is worth noting that Saudi Arabia is the Gulf region’s largest economy making up around 25 percent of the region’s GDP, and has shown a rising demand for US technologies, products and services.
