(MENAFN) The National US-Arab Chamber of Commerce (NUSACC) said that this year is expected to be a record-breaking year for sales of US goods and services to the Arab world, Arab News reported.
The NUSACC, which is widely regarded as the voice of American business in the Arab world, said that US exports to the Arab region are expected to rebound this year to as much as $75 billion, up from $63 billion in 2009.
The chamber said that this 20 percent increase propels US exports to the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) to an all-time high.
President of the US-Arab Chamber, David Hamod, said that the chamber’s research suggests that in 2010, the MENA region would play a significant role in the global economic recovery. He commented that this is good news for the US economy in general and for American exporters to the MENA region in particular.
