Vodafone Qatar posts positive EBITDA in Q3

(MENAFN) Wade Kirkland, acting Chief Financial Officer at Vodafone Qatar, said that during the July-September period of 2010, its earnings before interest, tax, depreciation and amortization (EBITDA) was positive, due to a narrowed nine month net loss, Reuters reported.

According to Kirkland, the mobile operator’s EBTIDA for the mentioned period was $266.6 million, on revenue of $73.2 million, boosted by an 18 percent rise in new customers.

The Qatari affiliate of British mobile operator Vodafone revealed that its nine month net loss narrowed to $125.4 million, compared with $136.1 million during the corresponding period a year earlier, registering an 8.3 percent drop, said Kirkland.
