(MENAFN) Vodafone Qatar’s Acting Chief Executive Officer, John Tombleson, stated that the company’s second quarter profits at EBTIDA hiked USD7.41 million compared to Q1 and reached USD8.5 million, reported QNA.
Tombleson also said that the company recorded a 65 percent boost in revenue in the second quarter to USD 79.84million year on year.
The company’s Acting CEO added that average revenue per user (ARPU) rose 11 percent in the second quarter compared to last year’s Q2 and reached USD31.87. He pointed out that the company saw a 43 percent year on year increase in number of mobile customers which rose to 761,000 in June.
It is worth noting that Vodafone Qatar is expected to pay dividends based on the company’s performance at the end of the financial year in March 2013.
