(MENAFN) The World Bank (WB) and World Food Program (WFP) have separately granted Yemen $70 million and $24 million respectively, state news agency Saba reported.
The WB financing agreement stipulates to dedicate the $ 70 million grant to support the private sector growth, enhance related aspects of general budget management and to improve the social protection network competence.
The other agreement was for expansion the WFP-funded project of supporting the affected groups of global food price hikes at a cost of over $24 million.
About 122,948 beneficiaries will avail from the expansion in 50 districts in Raymah, Ibb, Hajjah, Amran and Dale provinces.
