(MENAFN) Hotelier Middle East Salary Survey 2013 showed that the number of hotel staff in the Middle East making below USD3000 per month has continued to decrease, reaching 33.7 percent, down from 35.9 percent in 2012 and 47.5 percent a year before, reported Arabian Business.
The survey also showed that more than 50 percent of the responds reported that they had received a pay rise in the last 12 months.
The survey added that promotion were also mentioned in addition to pay increases, 52.6 percent respondents stated they were promoted within the last 24 months and 73.8 percent expected to be promoted in the coming two years.
It is worth noting that 44.7 percent of responds stated a preference of the UAE as the best location offering highest pay, with Saudi coming in second with 26 percent, and Qatar third with 17.3 percent.
