(MENAFN) Almost 47 percent of agricultural land in Tunisia is threatened by erosion in addition to the drop in soil fertility, which is 0.5 percent in some regions.
Accordingly, soils with a fertility rate above 3 percent are rich in organic material allowing higher profitability and reduced consumption of water.
Meanwhile, the 2 days conference, which is part of the celebration of World Soil Day, is a chance to enrich the results of the planned study underway of agricultural soils.
In addition, the results of the study will make it possible to identify the solutions that will be offered amid the framework of the national strategy.
