(MENAFN) Abu Dhabi Airports Company (Adac) stated that in April, passenger traffic at Abu Dhabi International Airport jumped 22 percent from last year’s same period, to 1.2 million travelers, reported Emirates 24/7.
Adac said that aircraft movements rose 6 percent during the month, reaching 9,893 aircraft movements.
Moreover, the company, which attributed the improvement in April’s performance to healthy growth of all carriers operating from the airport, added that the highest traffic during the month was recorded in routes to Bangkok, Doha, Manila, London and Jeddah.
It is worth noting that cargo traffic at Abu Dhabi International Airport went up 19 percent, with 45,261 tons of cargo recorded in April.
