(MENAFN) Recent official data showed that Abu Dhabi hotel guest increased by 11 percent to 1.37 million during the first seven months of 2012 compared with a year earlier, Arabian Business reported.
According to the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority, the number of guest nights and room nights spent between January and July grew by seven percent and six percent year-on-year, respectively.
Hotel guests staying in Abu Dhabi slipped six percent compared to a year ago, largely because of the holy month of Ramadan, the authority explained.
Most of the visitors staying in UAE capital, which has currently 128 hotels with 22,800 rooms, during the January-July period originated from the UK with 79,660 visitors, followed by India with 76,272 visitors, and Germany with 54,506 visitors.
